Dr. Jim Fulbrook
James E. (Jim) Fulbrook, PhD, is a retired U.S. Army officer with 31 years of service, including 22 years of active duty as an aviator, a research scientist, and an assistant professor for ROTC. He flew helicopters in both Vietnam and the National Guard–and later wrote an Aviation Digest article series that remains a regularly cited historical reference on the Vietnam War’s helicopter operations.
After retiring from the military, Jim joined a Department of Defense contractor in Alexandria,Virginia, where he worked for 18 years as a Human Factors Engineer and Instructional Systems Specialist. During that time, he helped design and create dozens of products for the military, including various computer-based training aids and a prototype Augmented Reality Binocular System for U.S. Air Force air tower controllers.
In August 2017, Jim founded Efficiency Products, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that invents and markets consumer products for everyday use. Efficiency Products, based in Fairfax, Virginia, has a variety of patented or patent-pending products under development, including several within the medical field.
Jim earned both a Master’s Degree and a Doctorate in Neurobiology from the University of Delaware. He is an active member of the Inventors Network of the Capital Area (INCA) and the United Inventors Association (UIA).Outside of work, he is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys landscape photography, fishing, and hiking.
